Healthspan, measured over years.
Aethera Longevity Lab is a cash-pay preventive medicine program for adults who want to find disease early and act on it. We focus on the four things that actually shorten most lives: atherosclerosis, cancer, metabolic disease, and the loss of muscle and aerobic fitness.
What this division is for
Every test we order has to earn its place. Some of what we offer has decades of outcome data behind it, like lipoprotein(a) measurement, coronary calcium scoring, guideline cancer screening, and cardiorespiratory fitness testing. Some of it is promising but unproven, like multi-cancer blood tests and whole-body MRI.
Some of it is a research tool sold as medicine, like epigenetic biological age scores. We label each item so you know which is which before you pay for it. A physician reviews every result and writes a plan.
We serve patients online in all 50 states, and in person through concierge visits in every state except Massachusetts and New York. Clinics are in development in Nashville, Miami, and Madison, Wisconsin, with Bogota, Colombia planned for early 2027. We can order medical imaging anywhere in the United States.
We do not bill insurance, and we do not sell stem cell or exosome infusions for aging.
What is different here
- We publish our prices. Fountain Life and Human Longevity both hide theirs behind a sales call, and Fountain Life's own membership page lists no dollar figure at all. Every Aethera program and every single test on our menu has a number next to it on the site.
- Every item on the menu carries an evidence label: established, emerging, investigational, or wellness-only. The label is on the service card, not buried in a disclaimer. A patient can see that lipoprotein(a) and whole-body MRI are not the same grade of medicine before they choose.
- We publish what we will not sell and why. No exosome or stem cell longevity infusions, no therapeutic plasma exchange, no NAD IV drips sold as life extension, no senolytic prescriptions outside a research protocol.
- Guideline cancer screening is the backbone, not the upsell. Before we sell anyone a $949 blood test or a $2,499 MRI, we check whether their colonoscopy, mammogram, cervical screening, and low-dose lung CT are actually current. Most longevity clinics skip this entirely.
- Lipoprotein(a) is measured once for every patient in every program at no extra charge, and we cascade-screen first-degree relatives. The 2026 ACC/AHA/multisociety dyslipidemia guideline made this a Class 1 recommendation for all adults. It is the single highest-yield, cheapest thing on this menu.
- We order imaging anywhere in the United States and our physicians review it with you. You do not need to live near a clinic to get a coronary CT, a DXA, or an MRI through us.

Every item is marked with where the evidence actually sits and how it is delivered. 20 services.

ApoB & Advanced Lipid Assessment
Apolipoprotein B measurement with standard and non-HDL lipids, plus hs-CRP. ApoB counts the atherogenic particles rather than the cholesterol they carry.
Who it is for. Anyone with triglycerides at or above 150, diabetes or prediabetes, a strong family history, or a low LDL-C that looks reassuring and may not be.
$0 inside every program. $110 to $175 standalone with interpretation.
Usually HSA/FSA eligible
Coronary Artery Calcium CT
A short non-contrast CT of the heart that measures calcified plaque and returns a score. Ordered by us, performed at a partner imaging center near you, read by a radiologist, then reviewed with you by your physician.
Who it is for. Adults roughly 40 to 75 at intermediate risk, or where the decision to start a statin is genuinely uncertain. Also useful where a strong family history conflicts with a reassuring lipid panel.
$149 to $395 depending on facility, based on a national cash-pay range
Usually HSA/FSA eligible
Coronary CT Angiography with AI Plaque Quantification
A contrast-enhanced cardiac CT that shows stenosis and non-calcified plaque, with AI software quantifying total plaque burden and composition. Performed at a partner imaging center.
Who it is for. Patients where a calcium score was equivocal, where symptoms raise the question of obstructive disease, or where a very high Lp(a) or family history makes soft plaque the real question.
$1,250 to $2,400. The standalone US market range for CCTA with AI plaq
Usually HSA/FSA eligible
Carotid Plaque Ultrasound
A no-radiation ultrasound of the carotid arteries looking for the presence of plaque. We report plaque presence and burden. We do not sell intima-media thickness as a risk score.
Who it is for. Younger adults where radiation is a concern, patients who decline CT, and anyone with an intermediate risk estimate where seeing actual plaque would change the decision.
$195 to $350 including the physician review.

Cancer Screening Program
An audit of every guideline-recommended cancer screening you are due or overdue for, plus a hereditary risk assessment. We book colonoscopy, mammography and supplemental breast imaging, cervical screening, low-dose lung CT, and skin examination, and we chase the results. Where family history meets criteria, we arrange BRCA, Lynch, or panel genetic testing with counselling.
Who it is for. Every patient. Especially anyone over 45, anyone with a first-degree relative diagnosed under 50, and anyone with a 20-pack-year smoking history.

Multi-Cancer Early Detection Blood Test
A blood test that looks for cancer-associated methylation patterns in cell-free DNA across many cancer types, and predicts a likely tissue of origin if a signal is found. Currently the GRAIL Galleri test.
Who it is for. Adults 50 and over who are already current on all guideline screening, who understand the trial results, and who accept that a positive result starts a diagnostic workup. Not for people using it to avoid a colonoscopy.

Whole-Body Screening MRI
A non-contrast MRI covering the brain, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and spine, read by a radiologist, with findings reviewed by your Aethera physician. Ordered by us and performed at a partner imaging center.
Who it is for. Adults who have completed guideline screening, have read the position statement below, and still want the scan after a documented consent conversation. Reasonable to consider in people with specific heritable cancer syndromes, where whole-body MRI has a stronger indication. We decline to book it for anyone using it instead of a colonoscopy.

Home Sleep Apnea Test
A home sleep test shipped to you, scored by a sleep physician, with a treatment path if it is positive. Includes a structured screening questionnaire first so we are not testing everyone.

Continuous Glucose Monitoring Block
A four-week block of over-the-counter continuous glucose sensors with a structured food and activity log, then a clinician session to interpret what you saw. A block, not an open-ended subscription.
Who it is for. People with insulin resistance or prediabetes who need to see their own response to their own meals, and people who have tried to change their diet and cannot work out which part is failing.

A DNA methylation test that reports several biological age and pace-of-aging measures, including DunedinPACE, PhenoAge, GrimAge, and a composite age, plus organ-system estimates. A research-grade measurement we track over time, sold as a wellness service.
Who it is for. Patients who want a repeated-measures marker alongside their clinical tests and who accept that the number does not yet drive a treatment decision. Not for anyone who wants a diagnosis from it.

Who it is for. Adults who have read the trial data, have no immunosuppression risk, are not planning surgery or pregnancy, and want it with monitoring rather than from an offshore website. Not a first intervention; we want your lipids, fitness, and metabolic work handled first.

How you are seen
Residents of every U.S. state and the District of Columbia can join the online clinic. A specific test or treatment can still have its own state limits, and we show any limit that applies in your state before you pay for it.
Concierge visits are available in 48 states. We do not offer concierge care in Massachusetts or New York. The online clinic is open in both.
No Aethera clinic is open yet. Three are in development in Nashville, Miami and Madison, Wisconsin, and a fourth is planned for Bogotá in early 2027. We will say so plainly here the day one opens, and not before.
We are cash-pay. We do not bill insurance, and no federal healthcare program money is involved in anything we do. Many of our services can be paid for with an HSA or FSA card, and some cannot. Eligibility is set by IRS rules and decided by your plan administrator, not by us. Cosmetic treatments are specifically excluded. We mark each service with what we understand its status to be, we give you an itemised receipt with the codes your administrator needs, and we will write a Letter of Medical Necessity where one genuinely applies.
Nothing on this site is medical advice, a diagnosis, or a promise of a result. Talk to a licensed clinician about your own situation before starting anything.
